8-Day Hiking Tour - Atlantic Coastal Trek
This is an easy trek for those who love the breeze and sound of the ocean. It’s suitable for older kids who like camping. You will be away from the tourist track most of the time. Enjoy the traquility of the landscape and hospitality of our team.
Day 1: Arrival to Marrakech
You will be pick up at the Marrakech Airport by members of our team. We will escort you in our mini buses to the hotel where you can refresh prior to dinner. Here you will enjoy the opportunity to get to know your fellow guests and team as we dine together. After dinner, you will be offered a brief for the next day as throughout your stay to ensure you are always prepared.
Day 2: Marrakech to Tafdna
Your adventure will begin today. We will travel from Marrakech to Tafdna by minibus, via Chichaoua and Ounara. After stopping for lunch, we will continue through the Haha area, famous for Argan trees and arrive at the fishing port of Tafdna. Here you will meet with your ‘camel drivers’. Enjoy the special sunset along the coast on a camel. Then spend the evening camping under the stars on the beach.
Day 3: Tafdna to Hamad Saeih
The caravan will set off early, passing over cape Tafelny close by the sea and a vast plateau of sand and bushes. We will stop at the beach of Sidi Hamad Saeih, where the group will pitch tents for the night.
Day 4: Hamad Saeih to Sidi Mbarek
Today we will hike along a coastal route, either along the beach or across the plain above, depending on wind conditions. The camp will be set up at Marabout Sidi Mbarek.
Day 5: Sidi Mbarek to Sidi Kaouki
We continue walking from Sidi Mbarek to Sidi Kaouki, a fishing port and a meeting place for wind-surfers and water sport enthusiasts. We will spend the night camping on the beach there.
Day 6: Sidi Kaouki to Essaouira
You’ll start the day heading toward Essaouira, passing by a fishing village and the sea caves of Cape Sim. Around Cape Sim, Essaouira will gradually comes into view. You should arrive there in the afternoon, in time to have a well-earned rest and spend the night in a comfortable hotel.
