3-Day Quad Tour - Ounila Valley Trek & Homestay

This is a very special tour to explore some very old and small Berber villages in the Ounila Valley, a narrow valley between Ait Ben Haddou and Telouet, south of the High Atlas mountains. Because of its strategic location between the Sahara and Marrakech, different people such as Berber, Jewish and Haratin live here together for many centuries. Visit old kasbahs and experience the simple way of life in this valley in your own quad.

Day 1: Ait Ben Haddou to Ait Fares (35km)


We leave Ait Ben Haddou in the morning and drive through winding trails passing small Berber villages to Ait Fares. Upon arrival, we will have lunch. In the afternoon, we will trek around the surrounding Berber villages and see how traditional culture of Berber people. Overnight in a homestay in Ait Fares. 

Day 2: Ait Farés to Assaka Assaka to Addig, Addig to Tighirine, Tighirine to Anmiter (75km) 


We drove from Ait Fares to Assaka and Addig, which are traditional Berber villages. After breakfast, you will be able to trek around in each village in and see their simple way of life. After lunch, we continue our way to Anmiter. Visit and overnight at the beautiful Majorelle kasbah.

Day 3: Anmiter to Tighza, Tighza to Telouet, Telouet to Ait Ben Haddou (75km)


After breakfast, we continue our drive from Anmiter to Tighza, where we can trek around and visit a salt mine, surrounded by colorful rocks in the mountains. 


Then we drive another 10km to visit the beautiful Kasbah of Telouet, where the famous Glaoui family resided before independence. We will have lunch in front of this kasbah with a panorama view. After lunch, we begin to drive back to Ait Ben Haddou.
